Aberdeen’s SPECTRA celebrates the Year of Young People

Posted on Posted in News

This year’s SPECTRA Festival of Light will return in 2018 for the fifth year running, with the theme of ‘Play the Night’, exploring innovation, creativity and the benefits of play to kick-off the national Year of Young People (YoYP).

This year the festival will centre on Aberdeen’s greatest asset, its young people, to create a collaborative programme which will place young people at the heart of development and delivery.

Aberdeen children will have the opportunity to see their work displayed at this year’s award-winning SPECTRA Festival of Light, following a series of workshops at local primary schools. Leading international artists and Scottish collaborators will also be delivering a four-day light spectacular. Alongside the outstanding light festival, SPECTRA will be introducing its new music programme. Weekend and day tickets are available here.

Please follow the SPECTRA Facebook page to keep up to date with events.
