Inspiration Point: Youth Arts Advice

Posted on Posted in News

Inspiration Point: Youth Arts Advice is a brand new microsite for young people interested in the arts in the Northeast of Scotland. The site provides advice, interviews and relevant links for young people in school, college, university or not in education (16-25) for the following creative disciplines: creative writing, dance, drama, film, music, photography and visual arts & design.

It is also a great resource for parents, teachers and careers advisors searching for the best and most up-to-date advice and information to give to young people in regards to developing creative skills and in pursuing a career in the arts.

It is composed of a simple interface which asks the young person to select the creative area they are most interested in, followed by their current stage. This leads them to a selection of relevant information including a tailored advice area, interviews with emerging and established creative practitioners and links to: potential careers and pathways; short courses and workshops; access programmes; degree courses; support organisations and facilities; venues; groups, societies and networks; residencies, fellowships and funding; and online newsletters and opportunity listings.
