Year of Young People Showcase: Saturday 1st December at Belmont Filmhouse

Join in the fun for the Year of Young People 2018 with the Year of Young People Showcase on Saturday 1st December 2018 at the Belmont Filmhouse, Belmont Kino Bar, Aberdeen, AB10 1JS.

This is a free event for all ages and suitable for a family or young audience.

Drop into Belmont Kino Bar and enjoy two performances, 11am-12:30pm and 4pm – 5:30pm, as well as highlights from community group projects, workshops and talks funded through Aberdeen City Council Year of Young people creative funding. Light refreshments are available throughout the day in bar area.  The schedule for the day is as follows:

1st Peformance
11am – 12:30 pm: Middlefield Community Project, Queen B and the Wannabes, Printfield Community Project, Sound Flatpack Opera, Smacherry and South Catchers Youth Forum short film, Now where is your data?.

Film and TV Careers Panel
Organised by Belmont Young Programmers
1.30pm – Free for all 15 – 25 year olds interested in a career in the film and TV industry. A chance to speak to experts about how to get started and develop a career.

2nd Performance
4pm-5.30 pm: Simple Glory supported through Northfield Youth team, Aberdeen University Jazz Band and Hamlet.

Art Workshops for 5-25 years of age:
