City in call for LGBT people in Aberdeen to help meet the needs for more foster carers and adopters

Posted on Posted in Events

Aberdeen City Council is joining in the UK-wide LGBT Adoption and Fostering Week which runs from 5 to 11 March.

The council is encouraging LGBT people to help provide homes for children and young people by becoming either foster carers or adopters.

To mark the week, Aberdeen City Council is lighting up Marischal College in the rainbow colours of the LGBT pride flag and will be running an informal information event at Westburn Centre AB25 2QA on Wednesday 7 March from 5pm -7pm. This is an opportunity to meet foster carers, adoptive parents and staff to find out more.

You can also find out more about adoption or fostering with Aberdeen City Council by e-mailing or contacting our Recruitment Team on 01224 264242.
