The EYC is the world's first multi-agency, bottom up quality improvement programme to support the transformation of early years. Launched in October 2012, it involves all 32 Community Planning Partnerships and a wide range of National Partners.
Aberdeen’s EYC was formed in January 2013 and is focused on improvements from pre-birth to 8 years old. Teams across the city are carrying out small Tests of Change that are being scaled up to make improvements for children and families in Aberdeen.
There are five EYC Theme Groups that are specific to the needs identified in our CPP:
- Health and Wellbeing
- Family Support and Engagement
- Speech, Language and Communication
